Sometimes people will try to tell you that something is in the Bible when it does not actually exist there, or they will take a verse or two out of context and twist them to fit their own purposes. While I would never intentionally twist God's Word, it does not hurt to be cautious and double-check Bible references you see on the internet.
So please, go right ahead and check up on me! I do want to mention that if you look for the verse in a different translation than what I've noted alongside the quoted passage, the wording in your Bible may be slightly different. This is because the Bible was not originally written in English, but has been translated. Many different teams of people have been involved in this process, so some of the words may have been translated slightly differently. The versions should, however, all be very consistent in the meaning being conveyed.
If you look up a verse that I have quoted, and it is on a completely different topic or something, by all means, drop me a line. It is possible that I wrote down the wrong Bible reference. Just tell me the title of the blog post, along with any other relevant information so that I can fix the problem!
If you don't have access to a Bible, the YouVersion Bible app is a great place to start.
Thanks for reading. Hope this post helps you!
