Sketch of a small sailboat sailing

I fell in love with the pantoum (a form of poetry) a couple of years ago, and although I have not written any recently, I found one that I had written last December and think you all will enjoy reading now.

My post on April 14th contained a poem that carried a similar theme to the one I am sharing today. If you enjoyed It's a Gift, I Think, you'll likely enjoy this week's poem as well. Enjoy!

Write Away

Written by Lilyana Page

Write away.

My imagination takes flight,

a story starts to form,

characters begin to take shape.

My imagination takes flight,

plotting away.

Characters begin to take shape

in my mind.

Plotting away,

busy

in my mind.

Help!

Busy,

but floating here, now there.

Help!

Anchor needed.

But floating here, now there,

a story starts to form.

Anchor needed

right away.

Did you enjoy this style of poem? I put together a guide so that you can write your own pantoums too! You can find my guide here.
