Introduction
Hey, it's Lily, founder of Canada Lily. I am a born and bred Canadian, a proud homeschooler, and follower of our LORD Jesus Christ. If you would like to know a bit more about me, feel free to peruse my About Page.
"Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity"
1 Timothy 4:12 ESV
I intend to use this as a kind of "site motto," meaning that the content you find here will try to follow the guidelines set out in the above verse for Timothy, but also for us, the youth of today. We are to be good examples for all, even though we may be young and often more inexperienced than our elders.
I will do my best to copy God's word exactly, word-for-word from my Bible, and to not mislead you in the way I interpret it. If I mistakenly add the wrong verse reference, please let me know so that I can remedy the problem.
Blog Purpose
You might be wondering about the purpose of my blog, Canada Lily. It's pretty simple. Canada Lily is in part a place to continue practicing my writing, it is also a good way to practice crushing deadlines, and I know that it is recommended that you create an author platform if you are serious about getting yourself published. I am committing to running Canada Lily for at least two years. After that I will have to decide where my next steps lie.
As for content, my intent is to publish articles about the writing craft that will be helpful to young writers such as myself. I may also share some of my short stories with the world.
